MakerHunt uses a small set of essential cookies. They keep you signed in and protect account actions from cross-site request forgery. By default we do not set advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Site traffic uses Vercel Web Analytics, which does not set cookies.
What we set
- sessionHTTP-only Firebase session cookie after sign-in. Cleared on logout. Cannot be read by JavaScript.
- csrf_tokenHTTP-only cookie used to verify mutating requests (POST/PUT/PATCH/DELETE) came from this app.
- csrf_token_clientNon-HTTP-only companion. The client sends it in a header so the server can validate the pair. No personal data.
Analytics (no cookies)
We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page views. It is designed to work without cookies or identifying visitors across sites.
What we do not set (default)
- No GA / advertising / retargeting cookies
- No third-party embed trackers on marketing pages
- No cross-site tracking identifiers
Consent
Essential cookies above are required for sign-in and form protection, so no banner is required for them. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies. No consent banner for cookie-based analytics until config.cookies.nonEssentialEnabled is true.
